TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — INDOT holds a public meeting to discuss the future of US 41 throughout the Wabash Valley.
The event was held at South Vigo high school as a way for the community to learn and ask questions about what INDOT next big plans are.
‘Propel US 41’ is a 2-year study that involves smarter transportation agendas and more collaboration across the community.
“Use that information that we’re going to put out,” said Blake Dollier, Public Relations for INDOT West Central. “Inform yourself on what the study is what it’s about and how you can provide that feedback because everybody’s feedback is valued in circumstances like this and it’s their community so we want to best serve the taxpayers and be good stewards of taxpayer money, so this is what we’re asking everybody to do.”
Highway 41 is an essential part to the Terre Haute area and economy and INDOT wants to work to help sustain that for generations to come.
“We hope that we can hear from them. We look forward to hearing from them, and we look forward to making this corridor one that serves residents for years to come,” said Dollier.
