TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Queen City Signature tattoo shop is planning to give back in a special way on August 31.
The business is hosting a benefit for the homeless and less fortunate in the Terre Haute area.
Those who attend the event will get a free haircut, lunch and donations such as blankets and hygiene products. The items will be available while supplies last.
The event’s organizer, Trish White, said she hopes others will see the importance of giving to those in need.
“We just need the community to see that it’s okay to help people. And you don’t even necessarily have to give them money. That’s not even an expectation. Just reaching out a hand for things that we constantly take advantage of and things that we constantly throw out or we just take to other places to donate. You can be doing that to homeless just the same,” White said.
The event will be held Saturday at Queen’s City location at 1323 Wabash Avenue from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
