HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – American Airlines is adding larger aircraft and first-class seats to Chicago flights out of Evansville.
Starting June 5, the airline says it will operate Embraer 170 aircraft on all daily departing and arriving Chicago flights.
American’s E170s feature 65 seats with 12 in first class and 53 in the main cabin. Of the 53 seats in the main cabin, 20 offer additional legroom. Streaming entertainment and wi-fi will also be offered on board. Upgrading to the larger E170 aircraft will provide travelers an additional 22,000 roundtrip seats annually.
The announcement follows the recent return of American’s Chicago service to Evansville in September of last year.
