Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine wrote “Angry Again” specifically for inclusion on the
Last Action Hero Soundtrack.
Megadeth was on the
Countdown to Extinction
tour when Mustaine wrote the song. At the time he was angry with the band, promoters and a lot of different parts of the organization. He was also having problems with drugs again. All his anger and frustration came out in “Angry Again.”
Mustaine wrote the song in one day. It went on to get nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance losing to Ozzy Osbourne “I Don’t Want To Change The World,” which became Ozzy’s first Grammy win.
“Angry Again” reached #18 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
