BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Tuesday evening, Brazil held their annual National Night out at Forest Park. The event provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Those who attended got to enjoy free food, swimming, activities, and build relationships with community members.
Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen said it’s a great way to get to know the community.
“It builds a strong bond between us and the community. It gives us, we’re able to give back to the citizens of Clay County, gives them an opportunity to speak with local law enforcement,” he said.
Linton also had their National Night Out at Linton City Park.
