BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Friday night, Brazil hosted their Fourth Friday at The Emporium, and it was jam packed with fun activities and supporting the community.
This special event was dedicated to honoring United States Military veterans and active service members. Veteran’s and military organizations were on site to show their support and share their stories. Those who attended also got to shop at local businesses, visit community non-profits, listen to local artists, and attend a Jeep rally. They will be doing this event every fourth Friday of the month until October.
“Show people that we have small businesses that are right here on main street,” said Sarah Pomeroy, organizer. “Right here on walnut street. And they didn’t even know we existed until today. Some of them. So, it’s important for us that they know that we’re here and that we also support them as much as they support us.”
A portion of the proceeds from Friday’s event will be donated to a local veteran’s assistance organization.
