Marshall, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) -A man accused of killing his girlfriend was back in court for another pre-trial hearing.
Connor Scott faces first-degree murder charges in Clark County, Illinois.
The judge set Scott’s trial for August 13, 2019.
Police say, earlier this year, Scott confessed to killing Kaylyn Whitaker.
She died in his Martinsville, Illinois home back in 2014.
Scott is pleading not guilty.
Whitaker’s mom was at the hearing. She hopes Scott is convicted and receives life in prison.
