TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Officials with Union Health have announced that the company will put a new look forward when it comes to its primary logo.
Established in 1892, Union Health has long served residents in the area. Mandi Scott of the group’s public relations and marketing department said the logo isn’t just a fancy look; in fact, each element has a specific meaning.

The logo consists of two overlapping colored “U” shapes with a dot floating above them. The logo also contains the message “Healthier, together.” underneath.
Officials said the turquoise “U” represents the community, while the blue colored “U” represents health care provided by Union staff. The overlap causes a darker navy colored “U” to be visible, officials said this represents the “together” aspect of their ‘Healthier, together.’ tagline.
The floating dot and white space left open between the arms of the “U”s reportedly represents the patients being cared for by the organization.
“Based on a public survey conducted in 2023, this symbol received the highest support by the Wabash Valley community. In addition, Union Health physicians, board members and associates believe this logo best represents a patient-centered approach to health care,” Scott said in a news release.
