FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Any severe storm damage that took place from June 25 – July 2 can now be reported by residents of Clay, Johnson, Monroe, and Vigo counties by contacting Indiana 211.
To build a complete assessment of the damage, people in the community can now call 211 or visit the Indiana 211 website. By gathering assessments of the damage from residents, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security can better determine estimates and decide on the next steps to take in the disaster recovery process. Currently, only Clay, Johnson, and Monroe, Vigo County residents should utilize the Indiana 211 damage report line. Vigo County residents were added to the 211 reporting line list on July 5 according to Dorene Hojnicki, Vigo County’s EMA Director.
Officials said any residents in other counties who experienced damage should contact their local emergency manager and any agricultural damage should be reported to the Purdue Extension.
