So tonight on opening night many flocked to Fairbanks Park to ride some rides, eat some carnival food and help celebrate the 46th year of the festival. The carnival stays open until around 10:30 P.M. each night. Tomorrow the carnival opens at 5 P.M. You can buy rides all evening for $25.
“People should come out if they want to have a good time and relax and get away from things. There’s rides for everybody, there’s something for everybody here,” festival coordinator John Dice said.
