TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — May the 4th is known affectionately as Star Wars Day, and the date lends itself to a pun on the franchise’s popular phrase, “May the force be with you.”
To celebrate May the 4th and every day, Sewer Lair Toys in Terre Haute has plenty of Star Wars-themed items for locals to enjoy or collect, like action figures of both vintage and current characters.
Located behind the Haute City Center, Sewer Lair Toys owner Scott Reed said that many people come in on May the 4th specifically to purchase Star Wars items.
“A lot of people do. They know there’s usually a special deal attached to this day, so a lot of people usually wait to come in and pick some stuff up,” Reed explained.
Sewer Lair Toys is open until 9:00 p.m. on May the 4th for those who are interested in getting 10% off their Star Wars purchases.
