TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State University’s president says the school’s new “Be So Bold” fundraising campaign goes beyond raising money.
In her fall address Wednesday afternoon, President Dr. Deborah Curtis says the campaign also reflects ISU’s approach going into the next few years.
President Curtis’ address discussed the Indiana State Advantage, which helps pay tuition for eligible students. She also discussed grants and partnerships that will offer new learning opportunities.
“Made @ Plainfield is an important piece for us,” said Dr. Curtis. “A partnership with Geodis in that community, really allows us to take the learning students engage in in our classrooms and bring them straight forward into the engagement with a corporation that does this work.”
The Made @ Plainfield program will be used to train individuals in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the management of logistics companies.
And speaking of the Be So Bold campaign, ISU kicked off the public phase of fundraising on Friday. ISU says the campaign raised 62% of it’s 100 million dollar fundraising goal during its “quiet” phase.
