TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) – Joink, LLC, has recently entered a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Computer Techniques, Inc (CTI).
With support from Joink’s growth capital partner DIF Capital Partners (DIF), the acquisition will provide additional management and capital resources to support Computer Techniques, Inc (CTI).
The goal is to significantly increase the speed of CTI’s fiber-to-the-home deployment in Central Illinois.
According to a release, CTI was founded by Adam Vocks and Billy Williams in 1998. Since then the company has worked with numerous technologies and currently provides fiber connections to at least 12,000 homes in Christian and Montgomery Counties.
CTI Co-founder Adam Vocks said the new agreement will allow for some exciting changes.
“We were in search of a party that had the resources and the capability to allow CTI to fulfill its mission to bring high-quality fiber broadband Internet service to as many homes and businesses in Central Illinois as possible,” Vocks said. “The shared vision of the two companies, combined with similar success stories, makes Joink the perfect acquirer for CTI to finally allow our accelerated expansion plans to become a reality. I am thrilled for our customers and employees to be part of this future.”
President and CEO of Joink Josh Zuerner said he looks forward to future operations.
“We look forward to integrating CTI’s operations and team led by Bobbie Dean, CTI’s CEO, who will be part of the senior leadership team of Joink, after the transaction closes,” Zuerner said. “Central Illinois had a great day today as we announce our plans to accelerate the expansion of CTI’s fiber network. We recognize the importance of high-quality broadband and look forward to providing a best-in-class fiber-optic connectivity experience to end users in Illinois and Indiana.”
The current acquisition will be subject to regulatory approval.
