TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is facing several charges after being arrested Friday evening in Terre Haute.
According to a release from Indiana State Police, Trooper Andrew Mattern initiated a traffic stop at 1st Avenue near 19th Street.
The driver, Jeremy Phillippi, 42, of Terre Haute, then exited his vehicle and fled on foot. Trooper Mattern pursued on foot until Phillippi stopped running due to a large fence.
Further investigation identified that Phillippi had two passengers in the vehicle, his girlfriend and her one-year-old son.
Phillippi is facing two felony charges and three misdemeanor charges related to intoxicated driving and resisting law enforcement. He is being held in the Vigo County Jail with no bond.
