OTTER CREEK, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Firefighters from all three Otter Creek Fire Department stations were summoned Thursday to extinguish a vehicle fire, Public Information Officer Taylor Hardy reported.
At approximately 3:15 PM, OCFD responded to the call near a structure in the 8000 block of Rosedale Rd. in the Sandcut Family Dollar parking lot. The fire was already partially extinguished due to the quick reaction from a store employee using a fire extinguisher.
The fire was extinguished in approximately eight minutes, with no danger to the surrounding structure. The driver was able to make it out safely, and no firefighters were injured during this incident.
