TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Boys and Girls Club of Terre Haute received a check Friday for $10,450 from 100+ Women Who Care of Vigo County.
Trent Miles with the Boys and Girls Club says the organization has been around since 1908, and plans to continue helping area kids with after-school care. The Boys and Girls Club is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 6 p.m.
Last year, Miles said, the club served more than 5,000 meals and that the gift from 100-Plus Women will help them with several efforts. “To be able to feed them and tutor them and be there for them and partner with the school corporation is a great thing, and the 100-Plus Women are helping us continue that,” he explained.
