TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported by Vigo County School Corporation officials Monday evening.
A student at Meadows Elementary School and a student at West Vigo High School have tested positive; both were on school grounds during their infectious periods. Both students were in the “A” cohort.
VCSC is working with the Vigo County Health Department to identify close contacts. Students and staff have been notified and only need to quarantine if they are contacted by the Vigo County Health Dept.
A release from the school states the following: “The Vigo County School Corporation prioritizes the safety of its students and staff and will continue to enforce mitigation procedures to protect our community.”
