The New York Yankees placed Trent Grisham on the 10-day injured list Saturday and reinstated fellow outfielder Jasson Dominguez from the 10-day IL.
Grisham sustained a hamstring injury in the sixth inning of the Yankees’ 8-5 loss to the host Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.
He lined a two-run single to center field in the sixth inning but left the game after sliding into second when he advanced on the throw home. The team said he had tightness in his right hamstring, an injury manager Aaron Boone said happened as he rounded first base.
A two-time Gold Glove winner, Grisham was 1-for-4 with the two RBIs when he exited the game.
Grisham, 29, is batting .232 with eight homers and 35 RBIs in 66 games this season.
Dominguez was placed on the injured list May 8 with a low-grade AC sprain in his left shoulder.
That move came one day after Dominguez slammed into the outfield wall while making a leaping catch in the first inning of New York’s 9-2 victory over the Texas Rangers.
Dominguez, 23, is batting .200 (6-for-30) with a homer and four RBIs in nine games with the Yankees this season.
