Gas prices in the Wabash Valley have risen to as high as $4.99 a gallon for regular gas and $5.99 a gallon for diesel, causing pain for drivers and city street and county highway departments, although the Sullivan County Engineer has said that the department is prepared and the suspension of the gas tax by Indiana Governor Mike Braun will not significantly affect their budget.
