PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A police chase in Parke County led to two people with warrants in Vigo County being taken into custody.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the chase began on County Road 625 North near County Road 100 East.
The chase then continued for 16 miles until the suspects were finally stopped in Browns Valley, Montgomery County, Indiana.
The sheriff’s office said the car was being driven by Margaret Hobson, 43, of Marshall, Indiana. Justin Rickets, 37, of Marshall, Indiana, was also a passenger inside the car.
Both have active warrants issued by the Vigo County Circuit Court.
Rickets and Hobson were then taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail for their Vigo County warrants.
The sheriff’s office said information regarding the police chase has been forwarded to the Parke County Prosecutors’ Office for review and potential charges of reckless driving and resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.
