TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man facing nine felony charges related to child molestation and misconduct with a minor is making an appearance in court on Thursday, ahead of a December jury trial date.
According to court documents, Montreal Snodey was taken into custody in 2023 after at least four underage girls alleged Snodey sexually abused them over a 4 year period. The sexual abuse allegedly happened between 2019 and February of 2023.
Most of the abuse allegedly began when Snodey would find a child sleeping, and they would wake up to his touching them.
Two of the girls told police that Snodey offered them cash after he would abuse them sexually, according to court documents.
Snodey faces nine felony charged, including:
- Four counts of child molestation – fondling or touching with child under 14.
- Two counts of child molesting where def. is at least 21 years of age.
- Two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor-def. has intercourse with or engages in other sexual.
- Sexual misconduct with a minor-same as 7214 but committed by person at least 21.
Snodey will appear in Vigo Superior Court 6 on Thursday, October 9, for a pretrial conference.
His trial date has been set for December 12 at 1:00 p.m.
