DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Authorities have released the name of the person who was injured in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
The accident happened at 11:42 a.m. Saturday on E. State Road 58 at the intersection of County Road 700 East.
As we previously reported, two motorcycles were traveling west on State Road 58 near County Road 700 E. when a vehicle stopped to make a left-hand turn. One of the motorcycles slowed down for the turning vehicle, but a second motorcycle, driven by James Gadberry, did not see the stopped car and rear-ended the other motorcycle.
Crash reports indicate that the impact caused Gadberry to be sent into the path of an eastbound vehicle, causing him to go airborne.
Gadberry was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries.
The Indiana State Police reconstruction team was called in.
Gadberry is a member of the Shakamak School Board and serves as an SRO at Linton-Stockton School Corporation.
