TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A big milestone in Terre Haute, as this summer marks the 20th season for the annual Terre Haute Farmers Market.
The farmers market has everything from fresh produce, baked goods, drinks, and more.
The local market gives an opportunity for small businesses to showcase and sell their items to the community.
Located at the Meadows Shopping Center parking lot, the market is convenient and has a little something for everyone.
Whether you are searching for the perfect tomato, or a loaf of homemade bread, the Terre Haute Farmers Market has you covered. Local vendors say the turn out this year has been great, even with the heat.
“We’ve had wonderful community support this season. I think that a lot of people are just now finding out about the farmers market for the first time, but we also have a lot of familiar faces that we’ve gotten to know and welcome every week,” said Carrie Schoffstall, market manager for the Terre Huate Farmers Market.
This summer also marks the first time in a long time, that the market is able to accept snap benefits, where you can buy up to 40 dollars in produce. You can check out the Terre Haute Farmers Market next Saturday, from 8 am to 12 pm.
