TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAW)— Indiana State Police Public Information Officer Matt Ames wants to warn the public to watch out for the construction zone on Interstate 70.
According to a Facebook post by Sergeant Ames, on September 30, the Putnamville post of the Indiana State Police worked two separate personal injury car accidents near the 7-mile marker westbound on Interstate 70. Ames states that, “the reason for these accidents is due to drivers failing to follow the posted traffic signs.”
Indiana State Police states that if you want to exit Interstate 70 onto U.S. Highway 41 from the exit near mile marker 7, you need to be traveling in the right driving lane. The Indiana State Police asks the public to obey all traffic signs to avoid future accidents and keep each other safe.
