ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A day of family-friendly fun is coming to Rockville, as the first annual Parke County Bluegrass Festival is being held this weekend.
The festival will be held on Saturday, September 20, at the Beechwood Park in Rockville, with entertainment starting at 3 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.
The event will feature performances by a variety of artists and bands. There will also be food trucks and raffles.
“Fall and Park County Blue Grass just seemed like the perfect fit. I know a lot of people around locally who also enjoy it, and they’ve never really gotten to see it live,” said Samantha Woodard, Co-Sponsor. “So, we thought that that would be a good opportunity. Plus, the concerts, a lot of times, are pretty expensive, so we wanted to have a free event for the community.”
The event also aims to raise money for the Riverton Parke and Parke Heritage School music programs.
