Houston Texans tight end Cade Stover is out indefinitely after breaking his foot Sunday vs. Los Angeles, KPRC2 in Houston reported Monday.
Stover, 24, caught a team-high four passes for 22 yards in the 14-9 season-opening loss to the Rams. A fourth-round pick in the 2024 draft, he had 15 receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown as a rookie last season.
With Brevin Jordan already sidelined due to his second consecutive season-ending knee injury — sustained during an August practice — that leaves the Texans’ tight end room without much depth. Dalton Schultz was the other active tight end Sunday, recording three catches for 28 yards.
The Texans (0-1) host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) for their home opener next Monday, Sept. 15.
