ROSEDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local civic center in Rosedale, is hoping to raise funds to build pickleball courts, in the near future.
The Florida Township Civic Center is hosting a fundraiser, to help repair Rosedale Elementary’s tennis courts and in addition, add two new pickleball courts. The goal is to provide a space for the community of all ages to use.
Right now, the elementary school does not have any useable courts, so the goal is to make the idea a reality, where the new courts can be accessible to anyone in the community. The fundraiser is ongoing and at this point, does not plan to stop until the goal is met.
“My hopes are that the community will use this for all ages, so not only the children here at Rosedale Elementary get to participate in pickleball and tennis during their physical education classes, but it will also be open to the general public,” said Makenzie Pollard, lead fundraiser member with the Florida Township Civic Center.
If you would like to donate, to help support new pickleball courts, there are plenty of ways to do so.
Monetary donations can be back to the Florida Township Civic Center by cash or check, through the center’s Venmo, or Florida Township Civic Center Inc, PO BOX 174.
