BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Brazil Splash Pad is officially open at Forest Park.
This $700,000 dollar project is completely free for the public to use. It also has a shelter that can be rented out for gatherings and birthday parties.
Brazil Park Board President Janet McClellan said that she can’t believe how big of a hit the splash pad has been so far.
“We didn’t realize that we would have over 100 kids a day in the water,” she said. “I’ll go over there and look at all the kids over there and it is so amazing to see that they are having so much fun. They are cooling off because the weather is really hot right now.”
McClellan also added that they plan to increase the number of picnic tables in the shaded areas so that parents can watch their children comfortably.
