CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On April 19, the Clay County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting on Nellie Lane, just outside of Brazil.
When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Andrew T. Bethel, of Brazil and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
This morning, Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen confirmed the shooting is still under investigation.
Clay County Prosecutor Emily Clarke spoke with WTWO Friday morning and said the case is being stalled due to a delay in ISP lab results.
“I have had numerous conversations with the police. They are still waiting on the Indiana State Police lab,” Clarke said. “This is still under investigation.”
