TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It was an event years in the making as Indiana State University students celebrated their graduation Saturday during the winter commencement ceremony.
Nearly 600 Sycamores received their diploma. A little over two thirds of them earned undergraduate degrees while just over 150 graduate students took home Master’s degrees or Doctoral degrees.
Greg Butler earned his Educational Specialist degree during the graduate ceremony this morning and said he’s excited for what’s to come.
“It’s huge. It’s a lifelong journey, your education. So, I’m an educator so I live and breathe it. I just took my next step and it’s been awesome. My family is up there somewhere. My wife, kids, Mom, Dad and I’m actually a principal of a school so, I’m pretty sure the pictures will get back to them and they’re all excited for me too,” Butler said.
The undergraduate class of 2023 represents 30 states and four countries. Students from the graduate class come from 19 states and seven countries.
Congratulations to all of the graduates.
