BRIDGETON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An annual holiday shopping experience got underway in a historic Parke County community Friday.
The event is called the Bridgeton Country Christmas, it runs this weekend and next weekend.
Organizer Celia Case said they have more vendors this year than ever before. In addition to the shopping opportunities, there’s plenty more to do, including live music performances and great food.
Those looking to attend can do so for free, as there is no admission fee or parking fees.
Santa Claus himself will be in attendance at the Case 1822 Log Cabin on Saturdays and Sundays between 1-3 p.m.
“It’s a great community event,” Case said. “People come to the (covered bridge) festival every year and they’re all hyped up, and they want to know what’s coming next to Bridgeton. We tell them about the Bridgeton Country Christmas. It’s not the Covered Bridge Festival. It’s not 2-million people, but it’s a wonderful, warm community event.”
The event runs this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
And will continue next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the same hours.
