VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A new business is reportedly coming to Vigo County’s former Hobby Lobby location on the south side.
Dick’s Warehouse Sale, a discount/clearance style store that offers discounted sporting items now has a sign indicating the store will be coming to the former Hobby Lobby off of U.S. 41.
In addition to the signage, a number of hiring posts can be found online regarding the location and various positions needed to staff it.
“A new Dick’s Sporting Goods Warehouse is coming soon to Terre Haute, IN! Express your interest in working for Dick’s Sporting Goods by applying now,” the Linkedin posting reads.
Tom George with MCG Architecture, who are working on the project confirmed that a Dick’s Warehouse Sale store is planning to occupy the structure. He added that the company had hoped to open sometime in October.
MyWabashValley.com has reached out to Dick’s Sporting Goods for comment and a potential timeline for opening and will update this story with any response.
According to a write-up on RetailDive, the Dick’s Warehouse Sale concept was unveiled in June 2020. Since that time a Warehouse Sale location has opened in Greenwood.
