GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Residents in the Greene County and Bloomington areas of Indiana are being warned of a possible scam related to a supposed asphalt company making the rounds.
According to Indiana State Police, a resident in Bloomfield contacted Green County Sheriff George Dallaire about three people he said pretended to be from an asphalt company stealing valuables from his home.
The victim said the three people were in a white four-door F-150 pickup truck with a red 4×4 emblem.
According to the victim, two of the people distracted the resident with discussion while the third entered his residence and stole the items.
ISP and the Greene County Sheriff are advising anyone in the area to please immediately contact law enforcement if they are approached by a similar setup, or know about the three people’s whereabouts.
