SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — People facing foreclosure or rental issues can now find free legal help by visiting a local library.
A free legal kiosk is located in the Sullivan County Public Library’s reading room. It comes after the library was approached by the Indiana Bar Foundation.
The foundation has had a goal of putting kiosks like this in all of Indiana’s counties. The library’s director says the kiosk can help people who are looking for legal help with renting and foreclosures.
“There are plans to have it roll out for more help in the future for different avenues but for now it is just housing and rental,” Jordan Orwig, Director of Sullivan County Public Library said.
The kiosk utilizes Indiana Legal Help to help people find resources, documents, and information on upcoming legal help events.
