BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An investigation is underway following what police are calling a motor vehicle accident on a private drive in Brazil that left a child dead.
According to Brazil Police Assistant Chief Dennis Archer, police were dispatched to a private drive on the northeast side of the city at 4:12 p.m. on Friday.
Police said that both family members and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but the child of undisclosed age did not survive.
Brazil Police Department, Brazil Fire Department, and STAR Ambulance responded to the scene.
Archer said both police and the Clay County Coroner are investigating. Indiana State Police were brought in to assist with accident reconstruction.
