TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Dads had a chance to bring their families out for a night of free baseball on Friday night.
Dad’s Night, sponsored by Dad`s Matter Coalition, is an annual promotion held by the Rex to show recognition to all the hard-working fathers of this area.
The Dad’s Matter Coalition collaborates with West Central Indiana Healthy Start`s Community Action Network focusing on reducing infant mortality in the Wabash Valley.
Dan Hardesty, co-chair of Dad’s Matter Coalition, said this event means a lot to him as a dad.
“I think fathers bonding over baseball is really American and nostalgic. Obviously, last year we had good success, and we hope this year is the same. Any time that I get to spend with my kids and help other dads spend time with their kids is very special.”
