VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Starting on Thursdays, the 12 Points Creators Market will be adding a new addition to the market.
A fresh produce stand will be set up to start selling fresh fruits and vegetables. For anyone who has not made it to the Creator’s Market since it has opened, you can expect other vendors selling handmade items and food trucks at the Truck Stop next door.
12 Points Creator’s Market Manager Brenna Deal said it’s important to be able to shop for produce nearby.
“There’s no walk able produce in this area. This area is a desert so it is important to bring one local produce because what we don’t often realize is how far our produce does come to travel to us. By then it does start to loose it’s nutrients and it’s really just important to shop local, and to help keep our local economy surviving,” Deal said.
Creators Market will be open every Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in front of Illumination Wellness.
