VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One person was taken to the hospital after a crash left a vehicle on its side on US 41 in southern Vigo County.
Officials with Honey Creek Fire Department said the call came in at 8:15 a.m. Monday morning of a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of US 41 and SR 246.
One vehicle was on its side, and a person had to be pulled from the vehicle by first responders. Traffic along SR 246 had to be shut down as crews cleared the scene.

Vigo County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Steve Meng reported that one person was transported to the hospital as a result of the crash. Meng described the injuries as minor. Firefighters reported leaving the scene of the crash and restoring traffic on SR 246 at approximately 9:18 a.m.
No word yet on the cause of the crash.
