TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A church in Terre Haute is looking forward to reaching more people by expanding its building.
Bible Baptist Church will begin work in June on an expansion project. The project will create ten additional classrooms for the church’s academy. It will also add a fellowship hall that will provide more space for Sunday school.
Once complete the project will also connect the church’s main building to its gymnasium.
The church’s Pastor, Kevin Szwarga says it’s a project that they began discussing years ago, He says fundraising began just last year.
“Our people have been wonderful to give toward that. They see the vision of what can be done, the need for it to be done here in the community, so many people that need to learn the word of God.” Szwarga said. “We want to use the facility to help people grow in their knowledge of God, who he is, what he wants to do in their life, and ultimately see people trust Christ as their savior and live for him.”
He’s hopeful the project will be complete by the end of 2022.
