TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – First Friday will continue in downtown Terre Haute on June 4.
Wabash Avenue will be shut down Friday morning through Saturday evening to make room for vendors, those wanting to eat in the streets, and for live music.
“Come out and enjoy. Sit outside and hopefully get some sun and have a good time,” owner of The Verve, Connie Wrin said.
Local businesses like The Verve, Scout’s Pizzeria, and Barbotics plan to participate in this event among others. Kevin Cauble, who sponsors the event with Terre Haute Chevrolet says he hopes to have a great turnout.
“I think people love it. They enjoy the opportunity to get outside, get downtown. Particularly now post-COVID-19. I think everyone is just looking for an excuse to get out and do something and this is a great reason to be out and about,” Cauble said.
Organizers plan to continue this event through the fall.
