VERMILLION COUNTY — A driver caught speeding 90 miles per hour in Vermillion County is facing multiple charges after police discovered a gun and marijuana in his possession.
Kevin F. Kee, 24, of Chicago, was driving a newer model Ford Mustang on State Road 63 near Hazel Bluff Road when he was pulled over by Indiana State Police.
The ISP trooper said Kee “displayed signs of impairment” and failed a field sobriety test. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper also discovered a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine that Kee did not have a permit to carry.
While being booked into the Vermillion County Jail, marijuana was also found “discreetly hidden on his person,” according to ISP.
Kee is being held at the jail on charges of operating while intoxicated, possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of marijuana and reckless driving.
