TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Nick Telezyn, Chairman of the 86th Annual Noon Optimist Club “Clothe-A-Child” Auction, announced Monday that the organization’s first ever online auction will be held from Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 through Saturday, Dec. 5.
Members of the Noon Optimist Club coordinate with Vigo County teachers to determine which students in kindergarten through fifth grade are eligible to receive clothing. Depending on their needs, children will receive a new coat, hoodie, shirt, pants, socks and underwear. All proceeds for the “Clothe-A-Child” auction go to buying new clothes for almost 900 needy children.
The annual “Clothe-A-Child” Auction will be held entirely online this year. Interested people can go to terrehauteclotheachild.com or text CAC to 71760. Local businesses have donated dozens of items for the auction. Some of the items include:
