TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Catholic Charities held its “Share Your Thanksgiving Food and Funds” drive on Thursday.
Because of the pandemic, Catholic Charities asked donors to place items in their trunks. Volunteers then took the items from the trunks during the drive-through style event.
Jennifer Buell, Assistant Agency Director for Terre Haute Catholic Charities, said she was impressed and thankful for the community turnout.
“They have really just been thankful that we’re here to help out their neighbors who need a little help this Thanksgiving,” Buell said. “So, it’s nice to hear from them how thankful they are to be able to help.”
Those who still wish to donate can do so online. Buell asked donors to specify that it is for Catholic Charities food bank.
