TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The City of Terre Haute is partnering with Republic Services for a city-wide cleanup on Saturday, October 3.
Volunteers will meet in the back parking lot of the Terre Haute Police Department Saturday at 8 a.m. and will be given a route map along with gloves, bags, and snacks. The cleanup will last until noon Saturday and will span across several targeted areas in the city.
Several open top dumpsters will be placed at THPD headquarters as well.
A note for volunteers; hazardous waste will not be taken. This includes refrigeration units, chemicals, tires and batteries.
These cleanups are organized every spring and fall in Terre Haute. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Mayor Duke Bennett’s office at 812-244-2303.
