TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Employees at local coffee shop, Java Haute, were shaken up this morning to a loud crash when a drive-thru customer accidentally scraped the side of the building, destroying the menu board in the process. The driver was not said to be hurt.
“When I saw what had happened, I finished up with the customer I was helping, and then we called 9-1-1 and I rushed right out to help the lady and see what was going on,” owner Holly Little said.
Java Haute is planning on getting a new menu board, but this time it will be digital so they can update it whenever they want. Until then, the drive-thru will continue to be open, but customers will have to order and pay at the window.
