ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) –Yoga lovers were invited to take a class, with a twist.
Otis Animal Rescue and Yoga Nest in Rockville partnered together to hold a yoga class.
Those who participated in the class were led in yoga practice while adopted kittens roamed the studio.
“Cats take a lot of resources and it’s a lot of them out there. Shelters are over run with cats right now. I know Crawfordsville has something like 200. Anderson is a bit further away, but the last I heard they had 600 cats that needed homes. So, we’re trying to bring attention to this issue. It’s sort of a crisis right now,” Adoption Coordinator, Kelly Murphy, said.
Murphy also stated that the kittens were already adopted before the event. They are planning to do another yoga session, with a new litter of kittens.
