The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce estimates about 3,500 people attended the event on Friday and 16,000 took part on Saturday.
Aside from the turnout, the chamber is also excited abotu the results of the Can You Build It food drive.
They collected four tons of food to be distributed to local food banks.
“That’s the great thing about the Miracle and why it’s called the Miracle. Sometimes it’s something fun that happens for kids or families. Always we’re surpised at the outpouring of money and canned goods from the community,” says Katie Shane, Director of Membership and Communications at the chamber.
Shane says there are still barrels around the city where you can drop of canned food, which will be picked up later this week. You can see a list of locations here .
