The video was heavily played on MTV’s Headbangers Ball which aided in the band’s transition from a punk band of the 80s to a thrash metal band of the 90s.
Though this song was not released until 1990 the band had it as a fixture on set lists since 1985.
The song is a dig at televangelists and them convincing people that the road to their salvation is paved with money. Televangelists get rich off telling other people they have to buy their way into Heaven and this song calls them out for it.
