TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Humane Society is offering an incentive for locals looking to add a furry friend to their family.
Dogs that are at least a year old and have been at the shelter for at least 50 days currently cost just $50 to adopt. Normally, older dogs come with a $125 adoption fee.
“We want to get these animals out of here and ultimately our goal is to get them into a home, so if we can help, maybe give people a little incentive to come in, they’ve been thinking about adopting but they’re just not sure, they can come in and see what we’ve got, they can check our website as well,” said THHS General Manager Sarah Valentine.
