The sorter took the money to a supervisor who was able to track down the donor. The donor picked up the money and gave Goodwill a reward for doing the right thing.
Bill Tennis, President and CEO of Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries, says there’s something more signifcant than the discovery.
“We operate a work program for many people who have workplace barriers,” says Tennis. “I think the mere fact that the donor thought of Goodwill and brought that material to our Goodwill location to support our work program is more significant than the find.”
The reward the donor gave to Goodwill will be used for an agency-wide pizza party.
